The Greatest Game Ever Played will always be a fil The Greatest Game Ever Played will always be a film I am so proud of. It was such an incredible process with one of my dearest friends Bill Paxton. We were able to show golf in a unique light and come up with immersive shots to leave the audience on the edges of their seats. So grateful for every crew member and department head, they brought their A games and knocked it out.
Sports films are one of my favorite genres to shoo Sports films are one of my favorite genres to shoot. Working on Safety was such an incredible experience with director @reggiehudlin and the amazing cast and crew. The training sequence at the beginning of the film had to set the tone for what was expected of Clemson football players.
Fathers and Daughters allowed me to experiment wit Fathers and Daughters allowed me to experiment with different moods/tones for closeup’s and medium shots. @gmuccino and I wanted to showcase Katie’s journey and show the emotion with the tonal differences in her moments of happiness and sadness.
This was a little movie magic from Resident Alien. This was a little movie magic from Resident Alien. We used a Badger 4x4 Crane Base with a Super Technocrane 50 to get close to the shore. Working on Resident Alien was a breath of fresh ai Working on Resident Alien was a breath of fresh air, literally, moving up to Vancouver to tell this story, check out the incredible landscapes we were able to capture. Our Director David Dobkin our writer and show runner Chris Sheridan and I wanted to have the camera move to tell this story, to immerse the audience in Patience Colorado. Deploying our amazing drone team from @reveredcinema and put in their names pulled off some incredible shots that look like crane shots, their accuracy and excellence was hugely appreciated. Thank you to my incredible camera team that rocked it out everyday for David and I.
Working with Charles Stone III was one of the most Working with Charles Stone III was one of the most pivotal moments in my career. He taught me how to get inside the heads of our characters. In this scene we use camera movement and some good old slight of movie making hands to evoke the emotion of Bernie Mac’s character Stan Ross in the middle of his try at a come back after 10 years in retirement.
